Cultures of Credit: Interdisciplinary and Comparative Perspectives on Financial Exclusion

Launching the new research group, Cultures of Credit, this event brings together a range of interdisciplinary current and historical perspectives on credit and debt, featuring speakers from the Universities of Sheffield, Leeds and York, as well as David Roberts, Financial Inclusion Manager for Leeds City Council.

The Historical Perspectives segment in the early afternoon features two SCEMS fellows, Dr James Shaw and Dr Simon Middleton, with another early modern perspective provided by Dr Judith Spicksley, an economist from York University.

The event is funded by the White Rose Doctoral Training Centre (University of Sheffield, Interdisciplinary Centre of the Social Sciences (ICoSS), 219 Portobello, Sheffield,S1 4DP) and takes place at the Humanities Research Institute, 34 Gell Street, Sheffield.
