‘Intoxicating Spaces’ – New Project at Sheffield!

Professor Phil Withington at the University of Sheffield is leading a new project, along with scholars in Germany (Prof. Dr. Dagmar Freist, Oldenburg), the Netherlands (Prof. Dr. Toine Pieters, Utrecht), and Sweden (Prof. Dr. Leos Müller, Stockholm), on ‘Intoxicating Spaces’ in the early modern world.

The project follows the previous Sheffield-based project on ‘Intoxicants & Early Modernity, England 1580-1740’.
