Workshop with Uppsala University students

10 March, 2016 @ 9:00 am - 11 March, 2016 @ 5:00 pm

Free

A two-day workshop organised by Karen Harvey (History, Sheffield) with Mikael Alm (History, Uppsala) and students from the Uppsala MA programme in early modern history.

The joint Uppsala-Sheffield Early Modern Studies Workshop takes place in the Humanities Research Institute.
Karen Harvey writes:
We have an exciting group of papers from PG students from History, Music and Art History, interspersed with presentations from staff (Caroline Pennock, Mike Braddick, Simon Middleton, Shearer West and Tim Shepherd). On Thursday afternoon the workshop will take a tour of Bolsover Castle from the Department of History’s honorary research fellow, Crosby Stevens, and English Heritage staff. On Thursday evening the workshop dinner will take place (at Maveli and at diners’ own cost). The workshop is free and open to all.
However, you will need to register for the lunches, trip to Bolsover and the workshop dinner. Spaces are limited for all, especially the trip to Bolsover. You can do this here: http://doodle.com/poll/yt445ukyef3ybz86
The programme is being circulated to members of SCEMS by email. If you have not received a copy and would like to, please request one using the contact form.
