Registration is now open for ‘Ben Jonson’s Workes and Their Contexts’, an interdisciplinary conference marking the 400th anniversary of Ben Jonson’s folio Workes (printed in 1616). Its publication was a landmark in English literary history, grouping together Jonson’s work in multiple genres, implicitly aligning him with the classic authors of the past, and embodying his writing in a monumental, thousand-page object.
We look forward to welcoming the following speakers: Martin Butler, John Cunningham, Anna Groundwater, Tamsin Lewis (Passamezzo), Eleanor Lowe, James Loxley, Jane Rickard, Julie Sanders, Matthew Steggle, Crosby Stevens and Phil Withington. More details and registration.
